But men are men; the best sometimes forget.~William Shakespeare
Leaving My Virtual Self At Home.
We went away again this week… My wife is a teacher so we take advantage of the summers off to visit family and take mini vacations.
I packed up my clothes, books, vitamins, notebooks and drawing pads… Even my colored pencils. Everything was in the car when we left-except my laptop.
It somehow managed to sit on the table next to my chair, and that’s where it stayed all week.
I took my Kindle with me, but it’s impossible to blog from. So, all week long my laptop sat home being unused, and my blog sat idle.
At least, this is what Doug said. We pulled in the driveway and he dove out the window, ran up the steps and slipped inside before the car was shut off.
Coming inside, I found Doug by my chair, right next to the laptop… How did I manage to forget it at home?
Unless it was hidden by an unnamed lazy monkey who didn’t want to work all week…
I mentioned this idea to Doug as he sat panting on the table… He doesn’t run unless something is chasing him…
He denied my veiled accusation and said he was just anxious to get back to work. This was added to the list of things I never thought I’d hear Doug say.
Anyway, we’re home and reunited with my laptop and the blogosphere. I’ll be keeping an eye on Doug and his new found work ethic… I still don’t believe I would walk out the door with my laptop in plain sight… But that’s what my guilty little money insists happened…
Sure Doug.
Naughty little monkey!
As usual!
A well deserved break but glad to see you back.
Thanks Glenn!
We all need creative break, I did the same, left my laptop for a week and went to the country, it felt so good, but it is also good to be home. Welcome back:)
Thanks!
Glad you are back!
Thanks!
