Welcome to the monkey house!
I’m John and the fuzzy(er) guy is Doug. We’re Gen X monkeys making our own path in life. Gone are the days of working one place your whole life, and retiring with a pension. This has left us Gen Xers (and others too) in treacherous waters.
We bought into the old ways, white picket fence and all. What do we do now, when old models don’t work anymore? We’re glad you asked…
Doug and I are exploring ways to be self sufficient, creating a new career path and sharing what we discover. Along they way we’ll be talking about all things creative, because creativity is the basis for all worthwhile pursuits.
We’re creative problem solvers, and creativity can be applied in most situations. We’re even creative spiritual monkeys… Stay tuned for more about that!

I will be interested in following your posts as you apply your creative problem solving approach to those things we call career and living.
I wrote a post entitled ‘Freedom’ where I attempted to explain how I finally made my break towards self-sufficiency. And I wrote another post called ‘In the Beginning’ that serves as kind of the run up story to try and explain from a personal perspective of why some of us seem almost predilected to become risk-takers in their pursuit for freedom.
