Send Danny Some Mail.

Life is short and we have never too much time for gladdening the hearts of those traveling the dark journey with us. Oh be swift to love, make haste to be kind. ~ Henri Frederic Amiel

Still in Summer mode

Doug and I have been scarce lately… My wife is a teacher, so we’re enjoying the freedom of summer… Beaches, sleeping in and other adventures have been taking up our time.

cardI saw a post on Facebook that got my attention… there’s a boy named Danny who is very sick, loves getting mail and his birthday is this Friday.

I decided to send him a Doug message and felt if I shared this with you readers, some of you might want to wish him a happy birthday as well.

Here’s his story…

His address is – Danny Nickerson, P.O. Box 212, Foxboro, MA, 02035

Let’s send this boy some well wishes…

  1. That is so bright and colourful. He will just love receiving it.

  2. John, I will send him something. My daughter discovered the fairy dust (from her tooth fairy) in my closet yesterday. She is 18 now. And I will get her to put together something with me. My daughter is going through some rough things, but knowing she will help this little boy will make her feel better! Thank you for the post. Hollis

    1. Hey Hollis- I’m glad you’re sending something too. I’m sure his mailbox is overflowing by now… That’s good. Even if our messages get lost in the pile I think it’s a worthy thing to do.

That’s life. I want to to send him a card but the geographical distance won’t make that happen. But the distance between hearts is not that much. My heartful blessings to him and to you.☺

    1. Blessings are as valuable as a physical card… Maybe more. Thanks Sarvjit!

  4. Since he lives in a neighboring state, this story was on the local news tonight. I believe the report said he received 10,000 letters today.

    1. Hey Peter- Thanks for the update. I’m glad this boy is getting all the mail… He probably can’t believe the massive amount of support his story inspired.
