When I’m trusting and being myself as fully as possible, everything in my life reflects this by falling into place easily, often miraculously.~Shakti Gawain
Do You Know Who You Are?
We took our list and compared it to our conscious dreams. There is some overlap. But, we’re still trying to fit ourselves into our old model, the “this is me” construct. We haven’t discovered our new skills yet, the ones that will allow us to make our wants list into reality.
Doug and I are still stuck in “build things” mode.
Right now our dreams look a lot like our experiences and our concept of self. It’s difficult to visualize how to translate our dreams into reality. Doug is puzzled.
It’s time to expand on our list and start making it concrete. Well, it’ll still be paper. Concrete is too heavy to carry around… You know what we meant…
Exercise:
Think about your daydreams. How do they compare to your wishlist? It’s ok if you can’t imagine yourself being anything but what you are. You may not have given yourself permission to do so yet. We’ll get there.
Right now, compare your dreams to your wishlist, and see if they overlap. If they do, how? If they don’t, why not? Think about your answers and try to understand the overlaps and the gaps between reality, your daydreams and what you really want.
Keep going! It’ll get easier after the next part…
I daydream about winning the lottery and building a family compound so we can all live near each other. That would be ideal. Reality…dealing with an idiot ex and sperm donor. I can’t compare my daydreams and reality. I wish I lived in my dream world…
Well, write it down and figure out how to make it happen.
Shanna, I share your daydream and believe that one could enable the other. So buy that lottery ticket and connect with people like me who share your dream and together we could make it a reality. xXx
Perfect timing for me, as I work to align my life’s work with who I am. I really like how you say “We’ll get there.” Sigh of relief, all in good time. Just keep going. I’m with you guys!
Peace to you ~ Allison
It’s tough to keep plodding on when there’s no assurance, other than faith, that things will be better. I truly believe positive thought leads to positive results though, so I’ll keep at it.
