A long time ago.. after my ex-husband walked out on me I was sad and miserable, and one night it dawned on me that if I was miserable and I did nothing to change my situation- then I WANTED to be miserable, I CHOSE to be miserable., so I had to change my tune.

That’s a trap we can fall into- becoming invested in our misery. Some people wear it as their identity… It becomes a habit, I think.
