I can think of many things… What about you?

I am thankful for having an awesome job to leave tonight, podcasts to keep me company on the walk home and a wonderful friend to join me for risotto dinner. Thanks for reminding me to have gratitude for that.

    1. I’m glad that it served as a reminder for you… I try to come up with things a few times a day… It keeps me centered.

  2. That’s kind of hard to answer at the moment. 😉

    1. That;s the idea! Even when it feels as if there is nothing going right, it’s beneficial to force yourself to find gratitude… There has to be something, no matter how small…

  3. I am thankful for all my supportive communities, including this one.

    1. Like minded people are a great gift…

  4. I am grateful to have a roof over my head on this cold New England winter night. I am grateful to have lived today, learning and loving. I am grateful to be aware in my sobriety, practicing humility and acceptance. It’s all good stuff.

    1. Roofs are good in cold weather! I grew up in Upstate New York and don’t miss it… It seems like you have this gratefulness thing dialed in Andy.

  5. My 14 year old son just baked me some brownies and the house smells amazing! Grateful!

    1. I love the smell of brownies baking… Something so simple can mean so much.

  6. Great question! I’m thankful for my husband and his calm-naturedness which helps me to stay SANE! 🙂

    1. It’s nice to have someone who can balance you and works as a team with you. I’m not sure my wife would say the same about me though! I may erode her sanity…

      1. Hahaha 🙂

I am so grateful for the comfort I find in my husband Jerry as my family and I are dealing with the most difficult Christmas ever. We are so scattered and dealing with stuff, but who isn’t? I am so blessed. God bless you all! ❤

    1. Yes, we all are dealing with issues, which is why it’s important to step back and remember what we have.I hope your Christmas is wonderful in spite of everything going on…

  8. That quote is excellent. It is so easy to forget that I can have less. I am extremely fortune to have been born into a family which is able to stabilise itself financially and in many other areas. My relationships with my parents and two brothers are firmly grounded in love and even though there have been turbulent times, we are definitely in each other’s team.

    1. Family is very important. I’m fortunate to have a large and supportive one…

  9. Good question Doug, nice to wake up and to have something positive to start my day with. I can think about so many things, and now I will think about them for the rest of the day!

    1. I list off what I’m grateful for every morning before getting out of bed and every night before going to sleep. It really puts things in perspective and brings me a lot of peace.

  10. I’m greatful for my boyfriend, who supports me with everything. My horse and dog who share their point of view on life 😉 the house I’m living in, that I actually have work unlike many others here at the moment.

    1. So your animals talk to you too? At least they’re alive… Doug is full of stuffing… literally. You’re right about the job, and the house too. Many aren’t as fortunate.

      1. Animals share, think and give their message in their own language. If you’re silent and see their true spirit you will understand their whispers.

      2. I agree. I’m a shamanic practitioner and am familiar with animals and the messages they bring.

      3. Well I’m not a shamanic practitioner (but it’s interesting) but sometimes I just get that feeling that they want to talk so I try to understand them. Difficult to understand sometimes.haha

  11. I think there is so much more to be grateful for than the obvious. Take our ability to communicate extremely complex ideas through marks that form written language. It’s really really incredible if you think about it. One of our greatest achievements.

    1. That’s a good point Kevin… And an excellent example of something we probably all take for granted. Thanks for pointing this out… Now, on the really tough days when I can’t think of something to be thankful for, I’ll remember writing…
